Dr. Mel Rabin is a licensed clinical psychologist and senior executive coach in practice in Natick and Needham, Massachusetts for the past 40 years. Dr. Rabin's specialties include single incident traumatic experience, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), parenting, divorce, relationships, anxiety, fears, adults abused as children, depression, grief, stress management, and adult ADD/ADHD.
Dr. Rabin received his doctorate from Boston University in 1974. He is an EMDR certified and approved consultant, and is also certified in Gestalt Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Biofeedback, Behavioral Medicine, and Thought Field More >>> Therapy.
Dr. Rabin is a member of the American Psychological Association, Massachusetts Psychological Association, EMDR International Association, and at the Gestalt International Study Center, where he is a senior faculty member teaching leadership development and executive coaching.
Dr. Rabin is a former faculty member at Harvard Medical School where he supervised behavioral medicine, former Senior Clinical Supervisor at the renowned Justice Resource Institute Trauma Center, and has been a behavioral medicine specialist with Newton-Wellesley Hospital's Neurodiagnostic Center. Dr. Rabin has been on the EMDR Institute's Clinical Training Staff since 1991, and is nationally and internationally recognized as one of the leading experts in EMDR. As an Approved EMDR Consultant, he consults to other clinicians.
Mel is an Ironman Triathlete. He uses performance enhancement techniques to help clients develop the focus, motivation, discipline and life balance required to attain peak performance and reach their own finish lines.
Dr. Rabin also consults to litigants, judges, and attorneys on a variety of legal issues including divorce, personal injury, abuse at home and in the workplace. He works with the Attorney General's Office helping victims of violent crimes and their families.
