Lasting change is possible. "EMDR really worked. Dr. Messic really made a difference in my life," from a 30 year old female client. "This is the only time in my life that therapy has made a difference, after almost 20 years of seeking help! I have my own life now," from an anonymous clint satisfaction survey. Making change is hard. Making change that lasts is harder. Selecting the right therapist for you and most effective process to help is important and can make changing easier. True healing and real, lasting change is possible, with the right therapist, support and treatment. Starting with a thorough assessment, we develop a plan together based on your goals, needs and strengths. Whether it is a particular behavior such as drinking, a persistent disturbing or limiting past experience or thought, or a feeling such as anxiety or More >>> depression, deciding if you indeed do have a problem is not easy. Most people are plagued with doubts and uncertainties when trying to answer that question. They vacillate between “yes it is a problem,” and “No it is not really a problem.” I can help you sort out your answer to that important question. Most of us are not really sure the best way to go about making the changes we desire once we decide that something is indeed a problem for us. “I want to change this, but I don’t know how.” Together we formulate a clear plan that’s most likely to produce the changes you want. Sure, it takes work. But with the right plan, the work really pays off. Once you have made the changes you want, how do you sustain those changes so they last over the long run? It takes a different plan and a different set of skills to sustain the gains you have made. We work together to customize that plan for you.
