EMDR Is Skillfully Merged With Many Practice Specialties Including Coaching, Energy Psychology & Peak Performance.
Although some EMDR therapists are "generalists", many have specialty practices which blend EMDR therapy with other skills that they have developed. This may include degrees, certifications in other modalities and licenses for other professional practices. They use EMDR in conjunction with their other training, to increase the effectiveness of their services. Finding these services in your area is not always easy: as a motivated client you may be willing to travel if you find "the right therapist".
Please note that research results don't yet support all the ways that individual therapists use EMDR in their practice.* Read more about the current research and the efficacy of EMDR here.
