I was so moved when I began using EMDR because I saw the dramatic results it had on people who had been suffering, often for years, and their symptoms were dramatically reduced very quickly. In long term situations, the clients’ pain and suffering becomes manageable when it had previously dominated their lives.

In addition to being certified in EMDR, I am also certified in Clinical Hypnosis. I am currently in the Master Level training sponsored by the ISSTD for treating Dissociative Disorders; there are nine sessions each on the Basic, Advanced and Master levels. I had a year of Gestalt training. Five years at my last agency focused on training for Family Therapy. I have had numerous workshops on PTSD, BPD, play therapy, Art therapy, among many others. I focus on a strong belief that people can overcome adversity and get beyond simply surviving to living a peaceful, positive and productive life. I see each person as dealing with their pain in the only ways they have learned and do not judge their actions, while teaching them more positive ways of meeting their challenges. I provide a safe room that those in crisis may use as a partial alternative to hospitalization, if there are other resources available to them when I am not.  Close >>>
